Questionnaire of each group

·
What challenges arose within
your group, and how did you deal with them?
Group challenges:
1. Absenteeism
2. Responsibility
3. Late
coming
4. Communication
The one challenge which we
chose off our list would be communication this challenge was chosen
because it was the most common to arise within this development of our
campaign.
The challenge of
communication was not at all easy to overcome and is still a working progress
for some of our group members including myself, no communication lead to
frustration within the group and little to no progress. To overcome this
challenge, a group discussion was held to report absenteeism back to one
another and approach each other when there is an issue immediately.
#AshleyDavids
As a group I felt like we
failed to form a structure, in other words we failed to divide ourselves up
into who was going to do what within the group. We as a group did not
communicate enough so each member ended up doing their own thing. I felt that I
had placed myself in a situation where I found myself dealing with lot of
things (social networks, netting, researching, ect.) at the end of the day it
all became overwhelming. I am person that takes full responsibility of my
actions. That is the reason I felt the need of doing everything I could do all
at the same time because at the end of the day it is pleasing to see all your
hard work get paid off. Taking about this communication problem as a group
really opened up the every bodies chests up.
#diemphoatyyahmohokare
Our biggest challenge was
the lack of communication because during the first week we were not
communicating very well, and that caused conflict within a group and it brought
down our team spirit. Due to that time was wasted enough because there were
times where u could find that the group members are not working as a full
group, some are absent and others are not aware of the reasons of the absentees
because ewe were not communicating within a group.
#ArtJones
Our challenges as the group were:
Communication and Approach.
Our greatest challenge was
when we could not get hold of some of our group members when they were absent.
It caused a lot of strain on the group because we could not reach the goal that
we had set for ourselves at the beginning of the week.
#Buhle
Absenteeism for me was the
kill. With some of the group members not pitching for the day led to us not
being able to produce a lot of our products (chickens and eggs) thus being
dragged back. It was so hard to deal with this because communication lacked. To
overcome our giant which was ‘lack of communication’ we then got together to
inform each other with any problems, misunderstandings and queries at that
given circumstance.

How has the community
interacted and the forming of your product affect group spirit/dynamism?
The
community interacted with us by sharing and exchanging with us information on
how chickens where being injected with dangerous chemicals that can be harmful
to our bodied as time goes by.
We
thought people would be defensive towards this subject but we were surprised
those who stop to have look at what we were doing knew what we were talking
about and had some knowledge of what was going on behind the scenes.

Having
to reach our target audience helped restrain our self-esteem personally and
within as a group. It was possible for us to raise awareness based on the
abuse of animals specifically chickens
|
We
held our heads high when we interacted with our community which was our
target audience. We had people(street venders) feel very much threatened
thinking we were selling with permission granted to us, but we told and
taught them otherwise based on our product and campaign.

The
spirit and motivation of our group which I have experienced was at its peak
before we started establishing community and our product as our ideas were
fresh and we were hopeful to create awareness about animal abuse concerning
chickens.
|
Spirit
and motivation of the spring chicks after interacting with community and
producing a product was quite disappointing because, although this beautiful
product was created people thought that it simple a money making scheme and
not approaching us to ask what we are doing.

Our
interaction with the community made us feel confident about our project as
some of the people we were talking to wanted to buy our product. Once people
recognise our campaign and share their ideas with us we become more
confident.

As
a group I felt that we had lost our spirit and motivation along the way, due
to some communication problems. I felt stuck, practical wise when at some
point we haven’t produced any products
yet.
|
As
soon as we set down as a group and discussed what was coursing our group to
grow apart. We came up with ways on how we could overcome this meld stone. I
think I saw a change in our group. We all gained the motivation once again.
Going to the community encouraged us a lot and brought my spirit back to life
again. After the whole community experience I felt confident again about our
campaign.

At
start we had a very positive dynamics and a good team spirit and that
motivated us, but as time goes by we lost team spirit due to the challenges
we faced and that didn’t motivate us at all.
|
After
going out to the community our team spirit was uplifted and we gained our
positive dynamic back and that motivated us to go forward with our campaign
and most people motivated us

How has the community
motivated you to excel in your project?
We have incorporated the community into our
project by simple methods of communication and interaction, reaching out to the
community isn’t always easy but we did so in public spaces asking the public to
come and knit with us although we were rejected many times we got our message
across verbally with knowledge acquired on the during this campaign, the
community has practically participated by means of touching the product
creating an understanding about the campaign. We have not been touched as much
as we should have been touched emotionally by the interaction of people so
change is yet to be seen in our group.
#AshleyDavids
We incorporated the community into our
project by creating an environment that is not intimidating. Communication and
interaction was also used in a way of incorporating the community. I think my
point of view is that each person that each person that came to approach us
participated somehow in making us aware that some people have the knowledge of
animal cruelty mostly surprisingly chicken abuse and chicken growth. My group has totally
improved due to them because this boosted our self- confidence and made us more
determined to carry on.

1. We have incorporated the community by
going to people out there and telling them more about our project and sharing
our different views with them, we targeted sports with lot of onlookers such as
green market square and food quarters
2. No most of people were just passing by
looking at what we are doing, some thought we were selling some things. Some of
them approached us and they liked our campaign and they encouraged us to go
further with what we are doing.
3. Yes were motivated by the response of the
community about our campaign. As we were charting with people out there lot of
them encouraged us and gave us more information based on our project and this
motivated us to move forward with this campaign
#ArtJones
The community has motivated our group to do
better by sharing their views on chicken cruelty or chicken abuse. We as the
group did not realize that there were people that feel strongly about our
campaign, some of them have even suggested that we take our project further to
the political people because it is a serious matter. The types of chemicals
that the chickens are injected could be of harm to society, people should keep
an open eye when buying their food.
#BuhleTyindyi
The community has motivated our project by
interacting with the group and sharing information. It was a great pleasure to
learn and teach what we are of. The presence of our target audience was not as
much as we expected it to be but we still as the campaign give thanks to those
who were interested but felt intimidated as to approaching us (campaign). It
has also taught about human behave in the marketing industry.

Definition
of Design: design can be defined as a plan or drawing produced to show the look
and function or workings of a building, garment, or other object before it is
made.
Definition
of Art: Art can be defined as the
expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in
a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated
primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
I think our campaign is classified as Art as
it is not a functional product but to be admired and consumed by hearts of
people keeping our message in mind.

Our campaign as the springchicks falls under
Art because the product that we made has no function. We made the chickens to
bring out a message throughout them.
#BuhleTyindyi
Therefore I categorise my campaign as
belonging to the art discipline due to that fact that is has no function but
instead follows ornamentation as to its
main characteristic.
