Dyed chicks are sold by street vendors in countries like China, Philippines, India, Malaysia, Morocco, Yemen and evens the USA. But what most people don't know is that these cute baby chicks aren't dyed after hatching, they are injaected with dye as embryos, inside the egg.
Some vendors inject the eggs with stuff like hydrogen, peroxide and ammonia, while other use 'harmless' food colouring. In reality, while some chicks prove extremely resilient to dye, many are intoxicated and DIE before hatching.

Springchicks aims at creating awareness against chicken abuse. Chickens are not given the freedom of growing properly on their own the farmers drug the chickens to speed up the process of their growth. They are also kept in a dark room where they don't have access to light and fresh air. It is clear that the farmers are more concerned on the monthly income they will receive from this, that is why they speed up the processes of the growth of these chickens.WE as consumers are not aware on what type of drugs these chickens are drugged with, yet the humans are suffering from new diseases which could be partially caused by the drugs that the chickens are injected with. OUR aim as the Springchicks group is to open consumers mind to know what pain the chickens go through.
